NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH INFORMATION

Hello everyone,
In the wake of the damaging storm that recently affected many of our residents,
we would like to take a moment to encourage everyone to be particularly mindful
of potential repair scams.
Per Town Ordinance, any vendor who desires to engage in door-to-door
solicitation shall first obtain from the Fishers Police Department a nontransferable
door-to-door solicitation license issued by the Chief of Police
permitting such activity by vendor and/or vendors employees and agents. Upon
completion of required criminal history background checks and receipt of a
license, a vendor must also purchase from the Fishers Police Department, nontransferable
identification cards for each employee and agent of vendor listed on
vendors application.
Door-to-door solicitation may only be conducted by licensed vendors between
the following hours:
October 1 through April 30 - between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm of any day
May 1 through September 30 between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm of any day
Additionally, it is unlawful for any vendor to ring the door bell, knock on the door,
or otherwise attempt to gain admittance for the purpose of soliciting at any
residence, dwelling or place of business at which a sign bearing the words No
Solicitors (or words of similar import indicating that solicitors are not wanted on
said premises) is posted in public view. For a free No Solicitation door/window
sticker please stop by the Fishers Police Department at your convenience any
weekday between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
